چکیده

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to compare the effects constrained induced movement therapy (CIMT) and BimanualIntensive Training (BIT) on functional outcomes hemiplegic cerebral palsy children. METHODOLOGY Cerebral children with age groups 5 12 years were included a total sample size 38. Simplerandom sampling done, data collected from Islamabad. Two formed named groupA: 19% group B: bimanual training respectively. Thefunctional outcome for CIMPT BIT assessed pretest post-test scoreevaluation QUEST JTHF tests. RESULTS Statistically significant (p <0.05) improvement found in Quality Upper Extremity Skills Test (QUEST)and Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function (JTHF) between -group analysis. For within analysisthe p-value <0.05 suggests that there diffe rence within-group analysis too. values forgrasp dissociated movements suggest are impactful CMIT whereasin simultaneous spontaneous increased but post -test moresignificant CMIT. CONCLUSION is more beneficial both hand’s movement, whereas morebeneficial grip overcoming “learned-nonuse” phenomena

Effectiveness of Constraint induced movement therapy as compared to bimanual therapy in Upper motor function outcome in child with hemiplegic Cerebral palsy.

OBJECTIVE This study aims at determining the effectiveness of constraint induced movement therapy as compared to bimanual therapy for improving functional status in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. METHODS This study was a randomized control trial, children (n = 20) with spastic hemiplegic cerebral palsy was randomly allocated to CIMT (constraint induced movement therapy) and BMT (bim...

Efficacy of constraint-induced movement therapy compared with bimanual intensive training in children with unilateral cerebral palsy: a systematic review.

OBJECTIVE To systematically review the evidence on the effect of constraint-induced movement therapy compared with bimanual intensive training in children with unilateral cerebral palsy. DATA SOURCES Seven electronic databases (Cinahl, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Ovid MEDLINE, PEDro, PsycINFO, PubMed) were searched from database inception through December 2016. METHODS A systematic review was...

Effect of Child Friendly Constraint Induced Movement Therapy on Unimanual and Bimanual Function in Hemiplegia

Objectives: Hemiplegia is a non-progressive damage in premature growing brain which causes movement disorders in one side of the body. The objective of present research is to study the method of modified constraints induced movement therapy (CIMT) which can be appropriate on unimanual and bimanual functions of children with Hemiplegia. Methods: This single-blinded, randomized, control trial ...

Cortical reorganization after modified constraint-induced movement therapy in pediatric hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

Constraint-induced movement therapy improves motor function in the affected hand of children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy and results in cortical changes in adults with stroke. This study measured clinical improvement and cortical reorganization in a child with hemiplegia who underwent modified constraint-induced movement therapy for 3 weeks. Clinical, functional magnetic resonance imaging an...
